Social "Me" Dia or Do You Accept Social-ism?

I'm not one to talk politics. Like religion...there are too many outside opinions constantly attacking. A freshly painted bright blue wall with purple circles no longer has the ability to sustain its presence as being a freshly painted bright blue wall with purple circles. It is and will forever remain whatever the stronger party brain waves your inner eye into believing. Do I see this as a negative? A reason to protest? Should I pull up unannounced and toss my out of tune singing voice onto a stage of accepted harmony? No! The essence of where we stand today is having the courage to be heard from the highest of peak. We as a people have been given the biggest and best designed tools in history to create our own media choosing instead to "follow" the loudest car commercial delivery. Negative? No! It's bread into the veins of our every day to give away what makes you think. We're too busy to be challenged! Too busy to be a voice. I'm shocked that we have time to use the bathroom. A bowel movement will one day be labeled an illegal public gathering. I don't mind if political aspirations, influences, recognitions shared through verbal blunders and attacks make their way onto my Twitter, Stumbleupon and Face Book page because I still see the message within the message. We are the "Greatest" media driven generation since Benjamin Franklin! He didn't need to be the President of the United States to push this country forward. Ben Franklin was his own media. Frank Lloyd Wright was his own media! One of our greatest architects barely had the support of his peers. Rather than fight the system with weak knees he traveled the world with a strong heart promoting visions other nations invested in. Google is media. Author Seth Godin calls it one of the most effective media channels ever. Not because of a need to slam Encyclopedia Britannica into near nonexistence but the company has utilized a willingness to service a "Tribe." Service! To serve! To share! To build upon! What has Google taken from you? I Heart Radio services your life and style with hordes of music from artists who rightfully should be long gone and forgotten. The free smartphone Ap instantly took note of our reasons for living in the past. Why not feed it with the map makers that brought you to the present? Music! You don't need to be in radio, television or writing for a newspaper to be recognized as a Broadcaster. There's no better time to speak the street than right now...while the speeches are free! Or while speaking publically is still a free-dom! "Free" is a brilliant set of letters... According to dictionary.com "Dom" is an abstract suffix of state stemming from "Do." "Dom" also shapes nouns that describe a collection of people: kingdom and or general condition freedom. I once had an Operations Manager that felt no fear when speaking out to an oxymoron called "Radio Broadcaster." He shouted, "You complain when we don't let you talk over the intro of a listeners favorite songs! I hire the best people capable of giving you a station website to say "anything" you want and your actions to such incredible freedoms is silence." Spin the radio dial... Whose doing most of the talking? Listeners! Why are you tuning out so quickly? Because the commercials don't speak the street! It's like being told what to do by someone dressed up in parental clothing only to learn it's ain't your Mom and Dad why then should you choose to listen? I loved being on the syndicated Pam Stone Show because she grasped the concept of allowing out of tune voices sing on her stage. Brilliant were the stories, the impersonations, the real life experiences and everything that made being normal acceptable. Never forget the golden rule... nobody has to audition to be their true self. That's decided before you're born. Pam didn't quit radio! Radio Broadcasters quit Pam! Why aren't you Blogging, Tweeting, Texting, painting, writing public displayed poetry, standing on a soap box tall enough to see over the high cost of living? Because you're too busy! But you'll find time to shove bad energy into everything else around you like the price of gas being controlled by corn farmers who can't control a drought! Make what you do known! Stop waiting for current methods of Media to be the cattle rancher shoving you into a truck headed for the slaughter house. You are the media! I wrote a song called: Social "Me" Dia The greatest tool since Benny Franklin and we've decided to let others decide for "Me." arroe@arroe.net
