As An Adult We Cry More Than A Child Suffering The Terrible 2's

Brendon Buchard not only authored the new book "The Charge" but instantly puts his years of study into action by creating the mental attraction: With so many human needs being met, why don't we feel more electrified and satisfied with our lives? In case you've forgotten the five basic human needs: 1. Water...you can live three weeks without food but only three days without water 2. Food... food is the insurance policy that ensures self-reliance and independence 3. Shelter...not just your home but the car, umbrella, warm jacket in the winter 4. Energy...more than lights and a furnace but the understanding of fire and food 5. Security...windows, walls and great relationships built on trust and faith With so many human needs being met, why don't we feel more electrified and satisfied with our lives? Brendon's approach is honest: We feel unsatisfied because the entire baseline of human motivation has evolved. What made us happy, energized and fulfilled fifty years ago no longer applies because our brains and bodies combined with society have changed radically. Driving in this morning I rolled across an energy builder: The opportunity of a lifetime cannot be seized in this lifetime if you there's no opportunity. Instantly it shot me toward a lengthy conversation I had two years ago with CJ the DJ who sacrificed his love of the Carolina's to play Morning Show radio in Portland, Oregon. Casually I strolled toward a deeper impression wanting to locate his essence versus a destination. I had made a similar trek from Montana to Carolina and selfishly needed to know if what I felt in February of 1985 played the same chords and chorus as my original intension. "My Father-in-law gets the credit..." CJ admitted to me. "Only three times in the average lifetime does a "Great" opportunity present itself. I believe in every corner of my heart this is one of them." When it comes to the success of Apple Computers, the opportunity to change not only their personal lives but the entire world belongs to Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs...right? Wrong! There was a third member of the late night digital party. Ronald Wayne was the mind, body and soul behind the first Apple manual and Logo. Two weeks into the dance the discomfort of having to deal with Jobs' horrible spending habits set into motion an assumed well educated decision to sell his 10% of the company for $800. Today, that section of the Apple core is valued in the billions. Thanks to Apple our five basic human needs rarely if ever have difficulty becoming a reality. One problem... Brendon Buchard unveils in his new book how We The People haven't evolved fast enough to keep up with technology. Think about it! In the past 100 years our life and style have changed dramatically, erratically and spasmodically. Smart Phones, IPods, refrigerators that think on their own, cars that know more than we do, as do the Teens racing up the extremely competitive workforce front. Brendon Buchard isn't shy to uncover the truths behind how we've transformed. We're now a task driven management controlled generation. How we get our food and eat it astonishes evolution by generating much larger bodies. What about how we interact and connect with each other? We spend more time in front of computers and flat screens then we do each other! Businesses and organizations have been forced to restructure or locate failure. Is this why NBC Charlotte torched the sky this morning when reporting 41% of American households are $500 shy from losing everything? Brendon is convinced that we're not putting focus on changing with everything around us. The way we think, feel, and behave have interrupted the natural progression of our ability to thrive and survive. Therefore we aren't meeting the needs of how modern humans drive. The legacy of meeting our needs should make us happy. When was the last time you took a better look at the people you work with? How often do you spend time people watching at the mall? New Age Church population are streaking across Heaven's limits like Northern Lights. The Generation that seems to have it all is having an extremely difficult time putting their thumb on being truly happy. Brendon believes we're freed from the constraints of need while being harshly challenged to find our focus and meaning in life. But nobody is willing to turn back the hands of time. Gulp! I laugh at my Mother in Montana who still types out snail mail delivered messages while managing up to ten bowling leagues and tournaments. My father feels no need to replace the rotary phone that's been hanging on the kitchen wall decades before I first fell in love and he granted me permission to talk to the girl only five minutes at a time. The divorce rate in America stands at 52%! What is it about "Love" that makes it out of control addictive turned corrosive? One look at the map and it's easy to see we aren't too far away from the day when we'll shout and holler in celebration when the couple announces, "We've been together for three weeks!" I write everyday and would still have a difficult time picking my face out in a crowd. A new game the writer in me has jumped into involves an unrehearsed challenge to look at our present steps and ask questions without letting the current mindset be the guide. It has to be the child inside. The very set of eyes that inspired you to step away from your parents nest and explore the planet. The strong legs and arms once thought to lift the world off anybody's shoulders. The lungs, heart and passion to make a physical difference not only today but every day. To which that side of my personality would reply, "This position that you stand, be it a lean to the right with a stumble in each step backwards...was I the cause? Were my wishes as a child too demanding or was it the day you commanded to take over because all that lives in your subconscious no longer met a requirement of need?" Challenge yourself to relocate the soul that shaped you. It takes less than 15 minutes to ask then answer a question. The next time you walk into the bathroom and catch the eyes still attached to the aging body carried around...the view from the inside becomes a little more clear. You begin to trust again. Except this time...the snotty nosed brat that knew nothing about how to live has seemed to find a way to communicate with the future. I will always believe in you first...
